How to control oyster mushroom quality?π€
Today's blog is very important because it is a time to reap our crop and earn money if we will neglect the step our all hard work will be wasted.
Growers always have doubts about the harvesting time for the oyster mushroom. As we all know Oyster mushrooms have a very low shelf life. But if we can manage to plug the mushroom at the right time we can increase freshness for more than 1-2 days
Different stages of the oyster mushroom fruit body.
1. Pinning stage
4. Over-mature Stage
Always remember to plug the mushroom into the matured stage as the over-matured stage has a high water content level and is highly perishable.Plug the mushroom by rotating clockwise and anti-clockwise.
Don't press the mushroom with any weight as it is very delicate and while packaging send it in the hard box and make holes in it.
If you have mushrooms in less quantity than keep it in the refrigerator in an open basket.
